A Production in Two Parts
The format of this next Ignite an Interest session is a little different from usual. We will be holding 2 sessions; Act 1 - the regular afternoon session and then, Act 2 - an additional and very exciting trip in the evening. Children are welcome to attend the afternoon session only but we really hope they stay for both.

So lets lift the curtain as the CPI presents...
Careers in the Theatre

Friday 15th January 2016
Act 1 - A Backstage Pass...
This Ignite an Interest session will see us going behind the scenes at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh. A chance for the marketing team, the costume designers, the management, and front of house (to name but a few) to take centre stage. A wonderful tour of the Theatre will make sure that the spotlight is on Careers in the Theatre.

The children should bring a packed lunch as we will be departing from the school at 1pm to travel by coach in to Edinburgh. Children should remain in school uniform. The coach will return to the school and if your child is NOT staying for Act 2 then they should be collected at 5pm.

If they are staying for Act 2 read on...
The Interval...
At the theatre there is always an interval between Acts. To make sure our little thespians remain in good spirits we will be taking them to Caprice in Musselburgh for pizza before we head along the road to The Brunton Theatre for Act 2.

Act 2...
Act 2 is all about bringing Ignite an Interest to life. We have tickets for Revue 2016 - a production which takes the audience on a journey through the history of music theatre: from the old time music hall right up to present day classics; featuring songs from many hit shows, such as ‘Phantom of The Opera’, ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and Matilda’.

An added surprise.....there may be a face on stage that the children recognise!

Staying for the Full Production...
So that we can book tickets for Revue 2016 we need to know who would like to attend. Please can you reply to this email by Monday 14th December to secure a ticket. We have been able to secure a discounted ticket price of £10. In addition there will be a cost of £10 for pizza and drinks at Caprice. We anticipate the evening finishing at approximately 10pm with children to be collected from The Brunton Theatre.

To go or not to go....that is the question!
