Charlie Rex’s Day Out

Hello my name is Charlie Rex and I have just been to Vikingar in Largs with Form 4. I would like to share some of the things I did there. 

We left school when assembly started and we had to be very quiet when we got our coats on. The bus was a bit late. The bus driver’s name was Neil. On the way there we watched Stuart Little 2. 

When we got to Largs we stopped and had ice cream! I shared with Lottie. She also gave me one of her sweets! 

When we got to Vikingar a Viking took us in to her longhouse. After she finished telling us about the longhouse we go to look around. I enjoyed grinding wheat to make bread with Flora. Then we went into the hall of gods. Odin introduced us to the gods. We found out that Odin gave his eye as a sacrifice so he could drink from the well of knowledge. Then we saw a 20 minute film about the battle in Largs. I got a bit scared but Kyle looked after me. Then we got to dress up as Vikings. 

When we got to the gift shop I saw plastic helmets, Viking coins, pendants, axes and swords that you could buy. On the way back we watched Snow Buddies. I had a great time!
